Slowly, but surely, the blog is progressing through fall, 2011

Grandma's niece, Emily (your Momma's cousin) was married October 15th in Charleston, West Virginia. It was a beautiful wedding and all of our family helped to decorate the State Capitol for the wedding and reception. You, Momma, and Daddy could not come because of the distance and because the wedding was on a Sunday.

You would have been fascinated by the centerpiece at the tables. We filled 3 vases with water, smooth rocks, flowers, an underwater light, and a goldfish! We had fun setting up the reception area and then catching the fish in the cleanup. It was truly a family effort and everyone had a great time.

Momma's cousins Jonathan, Haley, and Nicholas.

Greatgrandma and Pappy with Emily and Nick. Nick beautifully played Grandma's favorite tune, "Highland Cathedral" on the bagpipes before the wedding ceremony.
Grandma with her brothers Steve, Kevin, and Tom and Greatgrandma and Pappy as we relaxed at Uncle Steve's house after the wedding.
The trip to Charleston was a long one and Greatgrandma and Pappy were tuckered out by the trip and took a nap when we returned to Grandma's house in Richmond.

The following weekend Grandma came to stay with you and Momma when Daddy took 'a boys' trip' to Las Vegas. We had fun at the park again. We bundled you up for this trip to the park as the temperature varied wildly in the fall. One day it would be 72 and the following day the temperature would be 40.

We also went to Gymboree and you had funs with your friends there. Momma bought you some Gymboree bubbles (they are above your head in the picture) and they stuck to your head and the mirror. Honestly the bubbles seem to last forever. 2 hours after Momma had played with you with the bubbles, we still found them on the mirror and on some of your toys.

You love to bang and shake things and we used the shaker box and pumpkin on the ramp to entice you to climb up the ramp.

You have become a master with the walker and you and Elmo and Cookie Monster have fun traveling around the kitchen . You love to eat Gerber Puffs and can pick them up from the tray in your walker now.

Momma tried on your Halloween costume and she started to cry because in her words "He just looked so darned cute" You were determined to read your Halloween book, whether dressed in your costume or a onesie!

What a cute little monkey you will be at Halloween!

I love you so much little monkey,

Grandma
